Stambaugh Auditorium opened in 1926 and was a gift to Youngstown and the surrounding communities. Henry H. Stambaugh was a major industrialist in the Mahoning Valley and left a large sum of money in his will to construct the Auditorium. Today, Stambaugh Auditorium is the host for concerts by local and nationally known artists, wedding ceremonies and receptions, fundraisers, recitals, and lectures. The Concert Hall is home to a recently restored E.M. Skinner pipe organ. Stambaugh Auditorium was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is also home to Opera Western Reserve which presents a professional opera performance every fall. Tours are available by appointment through the Administrative Office.
